My journey with APS, Mundra

I am Rashida Hussain from Adani Public School Mundra, the first school under the flagship of Adani Foundation. I have been working in the school since inception, that is June 2001.

I joined the school at the age of 24. In the past 23 years I have grown multifold, both professionally and personally. Aps has provided many opportunities in the form of workshops and trainings.

Since the time I have joined, I have worked in various capacities. I’ve always strongly felt and experienced a just and fair work culture. The vision, growth mindset and the integrity of the Chairperson Ma’am have always inspired me.

Aps is like another home and extended family for me. The way we feel happy when our family grows, we buy new things for our house. A similar feeling I experience and take pride in when we expand infrastructure, renovate the play grounds and our students create mark in various fields.

At a personal level, I was given immense support. I remember leaving my elder son just two months old, at home… you need a lot of support, flexibility and understanding from the leader. It brings me to tears to imagine one of the toughest times at my family front on this day last year. I had the wholehearted support of Ami ma’am and my colleagues.

The culture of the school is welcoming. My journey with APS, Mundra has been nurturing and augmenting.
